A general introduction into optical sensor materials and
recognition mechanism will give researchers not yet familiar with
opt(R)odes insight into this fascinating field.
Currently,   we   are   developing    multifunctional    nanoparticles
(partially based on reactand chemistry), that can be incorporated
into cells  and tissue and  allow the  detection of ions,  drugs and
saccharides via fluorescence microscopy
