    City of Eisenach.  The city where J. S. Bach was born and where Martin Luther translated the bible from Latin. In German.
    City of Erfurt.  Erfurt is the capital of the federated state Thuringia. The city was first recognized in 742 A. D. The ensemble of the cathedral St. Marien and the church St. Severi is worth visiting as well as the famous Krämerbrücke and the gardening exhibition ega-Cyriaksburg.
    City of Oberhof.  Oberhof is situated in the heart of the Thuringian Forest. Despite it's small size it is the german center of wintersport. Athlets from Oberhof won more than one hundred titles in olympic games and world championships. In German.
    City of Weimar.  Goethe, Schiller, Herder, Liszt, Bauhaus, Wieland, Nietzsche ... made Weimar the cultural centre of Germany. In 1999 Weimar obtained the status 'Cultural Capital of Europe'.
